With great enthusiasm I present to you the third album of my personal project "Iris Manta" entitled "Memoirs". This time I thought about temporarily setting aside matters which I had dealt with in my previous CDs, such as cosmic events of astronomical nature, equations, illusion or reality among others. Instead, I chose as a motive for my musical composition, various personal experiences, but mainly the changes which are brought about inside us in the course of time. Thus, each track involves a specific period of my life and narrates a short story of transition from one state to another.
I really feel lucky that I am able to express emotions through music and bring them out in public. However, what really pleases me about this album is the fact that I have also included melodies which I had written several years ago so as to be used in the future. Therefore this project becomes indeed a travel in time and talks about my life to this day.
The kind of music remains purely electronic since analog and digital synthesizers have been used, while the tracks are all instrumental. The sound is smooth, reminding of previous decades but without being exclusively of that time. Generally speaking, the style of music tends to be inclined towards electro-ambient.
"Memoirs" is a self-funded album and it circulates in both a digital form and online (Bandcamp, Spotify etc.) as well as in physical form CD-R (jewel case limited edition of 100 pieces).
